Teresa Dalla Costa is currently a Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS/Brazil). Dr. Dalla Costa is a Researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/Brazil), and leader of the Pharmacokinetics and PK/PD Modeling Laboratory at UFRGS. Dr. Dalla Costa research interests are the disease effect on antimicrobials tissue distribution, investigated in animal models of infection using microdialysis; PK/PD modeling of antimicrobials and antifungals; PK/PD alterations due to drug´s nanoencapsulation; and the pre-clinical pharmacokinetic investigation of NCE. She published more than 140 scientific papers and advised more than 40 Master and Doctorate students so far. She is a member of the Brazilian Pharmacopeia Technical Thematic Committee on Pharmaceutical Equivalence and Bioequivalence (CTT EqBio) and the Brazilian Coordinator of the Ibero-American Pharmacometrics Network – RedIF (www.redifar.org). She was the First-Secretary of the Brazilian Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics – SBFTE (2009-2011), the Vice-President (2013-2016) and the President of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences – ABCF (2017-2018).
